Do you know where you put your faith?

We all have it— but sometimes we put it in the wrong place.

One of the big challenges many people struggle with is often viewed as lack of faith, but IMO this isn’t the problem at all. The actual issue is that they are VERY faithful- to all the wrong things.

Faith is like discipline- in fact it takes discipline to build. Faith is a loyalty to the unseen. A knowing that just because you don’t see something doesn’t mean it’s not there.

Many people who are not religious state that they don’t believe they have faith, or that they don’t believe in any powers outside of themselves. But something I have noticed is that almost every human absolutely does have faith in SOME kind of being or force beyond themselves. The problem is they don’t consider it such.

Likewise, many people who consider themselves spiritual say they have faith, but really operate on hope. The differences here are not as important as the similarities- In both situations, the belief rests in the 3D.

The person who ‘doesn’t believe’ puts their faith in an outside force– the ‘ways of the world’, the ‘free market’, stars, idols, laws etc. even a ‘cold unfeeling universe’. They limit their idea of what is possible to their perception of what these things allow, and when things don’t work out, they are quick to put the blame on the harshness of these systems.

The person who hopes wants something but has no loyalty. They believe it is possible only as long as nothing appears to them to be in the way. As soon as a negative perception arises, be it an obstacle or a delay, they let the perceptions and their limiting beliefs win, happy to let the outcome ‘prove’ their pessimistic shadow self right.

In both cases, external conditions perceived by the sense organs- aka the 3D world- rule the person’s consciousness. They believe the material world has the final say, have no connection to a guiding power, and are fiercely loyal to their senses. If they dare to put faith in a higher power, it is flimsy and fickle compared to the faith they have shown the 3D, and the moment a challenge arises, they turn their backs while the ego says ‘I told you so’. Faith wise, many people hope and believe towards things that disempower them, and have not built faith or developed a loyalty to things they can’t see yet- if what they want doesn’t show up immediately, or if clouds loom on the horizon, they give up and say it won’t work. And the universe, responding to vibration and assumption, gives them what they claimed.

Faith is a muscle and must be trained.

And if you have misplaced your faith somewhere harmful- the 3D, in the creation and not the creator- it will take effort to rebuild correctly; you get what you put in bc this is a reflective universe. If you are faithful to circumstances, circumstances will faithfully control you. If you are faithful to Creator, Creator will faithfully liberate you. So what are you faithful to?
