I’ve been making this laundry soap for years now, after being frustrated with how many unnecessary additives are in laundry soap, as well as the price. It’s such a simple thing but the laundry detergents on store shelves have been formulated for things way beyond their need- for example the perfumes in popular detergents like Downy and Tide have been specifically tweaked to smell very pleasing and addictive to get people to become loyal to the brand- I don’t want my laundry soap to try to hook me to the smell, I just want it to clean my clothes.
