Launching Into Intuition

The Inner Mirror focal is a self-exploration course that prepares you for your spiritual journey

As a spiritualist who aims to share skills instead of gatekeeping and mystifying, one of the inquiries I get most often from clients is “how do I become more intuitive?”

Clients seek my services for all sorts of reasons, but many boil down to being able to see into the spirit realm- both internally and externally- with more clarity. I think clarity of knowing is one of the highest assets in one’s spiritual journey and so my answer to this question will always be “it’s less about honing intuition and more about knowing yourself”.

To start, let’s understand what intuition actually is. Intuition is defined as a sense of knowing that does not require conscious reasoning. Because of that, one can know things without having to have processed the information through conscious sources or material senses. These intuitions can come in various ways, most of them aligning with what we call the Clair-senses, but are often experiences as a ‘gut feeling’ or just ‘feeling’ that something is so.

The thing to understand is that with the law of oneness in mind, all possible sources of intuition are you. Your subconscious. Your superconscious. Your spiritual connections. Your higher self. Nothing is really separate from you and this is intensely true with intuition. The question is this: when your intuition speaks, do you listen? Do you even recognize the voice? And can you hear it over the noise?

Sadly, we live in a world primed to erode our connection with our spiritual selfhood from the day we are born. Authority figures familiar and systemic restrict our expression and try to confine our development within regimented, easily controlled norms. Our senses are bombarded and numbed by an environment cut off from nature. Culture, rather than connecting us to our multidimensional world, isolates us and infuses our minds with negative thought patterns that draw us away from our authentic, central selves.

So you see, you don’t have to develop intuition- at least not at first. What’s important is to reconnect with who you are made to be. Much of this process is one of healing trauma and learning the somatics of your spiritual voice, because the body we are in is the very channel through which we receive the messages referred to as intuition. But when we cannot trust those messages, or they’re hard to decipher amidst the noise of physical stress or mental confusion, we feel lost.

The key to intuition- which is the core of divination- is becoming familiar with and trusting the ‘voice’ of your spiritual self.

Recently, when asked by my Patrons to create a focal teaching the basics of divination, I realized that the actual foundation of divination was a honed intuition. And intuition requires self knowledge. For this reason I have first created The Inner Mirror focal, a one-month long release focusing on prompts, live calls, activities and affirmations aimed at deepening one’s connection to their intuitive body. There are even creative activities and downloadable recordings for people who can’t make the live calls, so join us! While this will be available as an on-demand course at a later date, Patrons with access to this early release get 1:1 assistance that won’t be available later, at a much lower price and without the wait. If you’d like to know more about the course you can explore the Patreon or just watch the video below:
